How can a cite be provided for the PIN system being broken; they're not going to blart it accross the internet. I didn't put it in, but where can a cite be found? It was discussed on Digital Spy Forums a while back, but the mods deleted the thread because it was illegal. Marbles333 11:54, 20 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that it is probably a bit silly. DS doesnt allow articles which discuss obtaining pay-tv services for free. The only article I know of was one in the Scotsman (I think). However, I havent managed to find a copy of the article online. IIRC the article was full of rubbish from TUTV of how they intended to do the seemingly impossible, (I assume by using their gnome's magical powers ) overcoming DTT's lack of a return path, to trace those who have used the system without paying. pit-yacker 13:35, 20 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Unless a valid reason is provided as to why this cite is needed in 30 days, the information will have to go uncited, as most people who have knowldege of DTT know that it was cracked and there is a way of doing it. It was discussed on Digital Spy. A DS moderator for the terrestrial forum deleted the thread. The thread contained a link to a website which gave a code generator for Red Hot, Xtraview and Setanta. It also gave out PID's for the channels. No proof can be given. Marbles333 18:11, 1 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The Red Hot article (see http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Red_Hot_TV&oldid=26947813) used to give the PIDs it was to be found at on DTT.pit-yacker 19:23, 1 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I have found a forum site now giving out PIN's for both Red Hot and Setanta Sports for users who have donated. Users give over their viewer ID and the moderator can give a code back. I cannot give URL via WP, but we now know it exists. If you want find out more, contact me via my email adress on my talk page. Marbles333 11:44, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have uploaded an image of the logo from http://www.parker1.co.uk/mythtv_icons.php. The site seems to promote the download of logos, and are not copyrighted, so I see no harm in it. Marbles333 16:26, 5 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
