Route 18/19

[edit]

Who added that to the main routes? The 18/19 route has no name and no coloured branding as yet, so goes in "Other Routes".

Travel Dundee to be re-branded National Express Dundee

[edit]

As most people will know, National Express Group is currently re0branding most of the business. As a result, Travel Dundee is soon going to be re-named as National Express Dundee. Because I think Travel Dundee and National Express Dundee will eventually become quite different brands, I have created a new stub article for National Express Dundee.

The idea is that when the name change gradually takes over, all of the current details of Travel Dundee can be transferred to the new article, and the Travel Dundee page put into the past tense - because it will be history essentially! This will avoid future problems if the current Travel Dundee page has the details of the new brand put on it, like the Travel Dundee information being drowned out by the info of the new brand, or the article getting too long and confusing.

This is why I have taken the new National Express logo out of the info box, and put the old Travel Dundee one back in. I have put the new national express logo onto the new National Express Dundee article I have created.

Hopefully you can why I have done this - to avoid any future problems and to make the two brands clearer to he reader with distinctive internal links.

If you have any ideas or you wish to change it, me leave a message here or my talk page. Thanks, -- Arriva436 (talk) 22:34, 11 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This plan was reverted. It however resulted in the disaster below!

Page Moves

[edit]

After my plan for two separate articles (Travel Dundee and National Express Dundee) was disputed, National Express Dundee was changed to a redirect to Travel Dundee.

A few weeks later, someone moved Travel Dundee to National Express Dundee2 (mistake number one). They then tried to correct it but ended up moving the page to National Express Dundeee. (3 "e"s - mistake number two). I tried to fix this my self, but I couldn't move the page to National Express Dundee (correct number of "e"s!) as that page already exists, but for some strange reason is empty.

As a result, I have requested for an administrator to resolve the problem, so no one please copy the text from this article to the other. Thanks, Arriva436 (talk) 13:01, 10 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The problem is now solved! -- Arriva436 (talk) 17:56, 11 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Problem is not solved. National Express Dundee currently does not exist. Until NE Dundee is rebranded, it should remain as Travel Dundee. --86.146.174.108 (talk) 12:48, 29 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

travel dundee is still travel dundee

[edit]

as the company is still travel dundee according to its website, its buses, its depot and everything else, why are we preempting its rebranding by having the article change name already? there is no sign of the rebranding of the dundee fleet coming any time soon. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.41.243.253 (talk) 13:43, 20 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah it does seem a bit daft I know. I think people got a bit over excited and moved all the page names - rather than just the ones that are moving currently - Travel West Midlands and Travel Coventry. I'd change it back but it seems pointless as the company will eventually be rebranded. Arriva436talk 08:43, 21 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Another year and it's still Travel Dundee. Secondarywaltz (talk) 00:57, 26 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Route name removals

[edit]

I note that the route lists suggesting that the branding has been removed from all routes. Is this official or just based on the repainting of the buses in plain livery? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.41.243.253 (talk) 14:40, 6 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
