Global Group
Please stop adding in the garbage about being labeled as a global group it is a promotional term and the distinction holds no real value to an encyclopedia article. McMatter (talk)/(contrib) 02:15, 6 August 2022 (UTC)
- @Mcmatter Agreed, there is no such things as such "global group", it is indeed purely promotional and soapboxing and shouldn't even be included. However, that isn't the only issues with this article, in particularly with the lead section, an edit warring between Lifesavior and StormL has been continuously happening for the first sentence, in which also noting that both have violated WP:3RR. Furthermore, I don't see why the genres are even included in the first sentence of this article, and has never seen such styling being utilized on the first sentence for article's of Japanese-originated or SK-originated boy/girls groups (not bands). By the logic/behaviour that Lifesavior and StormL has been continuously edit warring on, I'm more concern if they are going to add all of the genres to the first sentence if the group expand beyond hip-hop and R&B in the future, which is simply ridiculous. — Paper9oll (🔔 • 📝) 05:44, 6 August 2022 (UTC)
- XG is an All-Japanese members’ girl group. But they debuted in South Korea, (didn’t debut in Japan) and appeared on Korean K-pop TV shows regularly in South Korea. XG is formed by Korean entertainment company Jakops(XGALX). XG is a part of Korean popular music. XG is not a global group, XG is K-pop group for the present. XG joined Weverse. XG became a official member of Weverse the K-pop mobile web and web platform. And XG is classified as K-pop by Spotify, Tidal and etc. XG is an All-Japanese members’ girl group in Korean pop(K-pop) industry. This is very important and fundamental identity of XG. This truth must be reflected in WiKipedia. Lifesavior (talk) 07:44, 7 August 2022 (UTC)
- I have reworded the starting sentence based on consistency with other South Korean boy/girl group's article, in which the group's nationality is now written based on their originating location rather than individual member's nationality. In the preceding sentence, I have made the following changes: XGALX to Xgalx as I couldn't find any reliable secondary news sources that mentions the company name is an acronym hence should be written in sentence case per MOS:TMRULES, and have also denoted that all seven members are Japanese. — Paper9oll (🔔 • 📝) 11:49, 7 August 2022 (UTC)
- I reworded it to "Japanese girl group based in South Korea"
- I just think changing the nationality is a bit much. Korean companies are collaborating with American labels to create their own Kpop influenced groups and they'll even have trainees do K-pop training and have them live in Korea, but using your format it would not make sense to change their nationalities. NiziU is another example of a group like XG (though NiziU only sing in Japanese and Korean). For NiziU, both K-pop and J-pop were listed as their genres and Seoul, South Korea as their origin. - "Japanese girl group based in South Korea", I totally agree with your simple and clear redefinition. I am satisfied. Thanks! :) Lifesavior (talk) 18:42, 7 August 2022 (UTC)
- @Btspurplegalaxy No worries, happy with that changes. — Paper9oll (🔔 • 📝) 03:41, 8 August 2022 (UTC)
- In an interview of Jacops with the media, he said it was a collaborative relationship with AVEX, and managing it independently in the XG documentary "XTRA XTRA," which was recently released on YouTube. Although AVEX invested in XGALX, it is not meaning a subsidiary concept of AVEX. Please check the contents. 秋元1223 (talk) 15:52, 14 April 2023 (UTC)

- "There is no such thing (global group)" because Western groups don't have to use that term, but in this group's case it is relevant because they are not Jpop or Kpop nor do they plan to stay only in Asia, they come up with a new way of get things done and that's why they emphasize on that point.
- Okay though, I'll make you happy and not point that out again, eventually it won't need to be clarified anyway ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ StormL (talk) 17:45, 7 August 2022 (UTC)

XGALX subsidiary of Avex?
We can find on the Internet an official letter from the CEO of Avex, which talks about XGLAX and XG(describing the group as part of AVEX)https://www.musicbusinessworldwide.com/avex-inc-ceo-katsumi-kuroiwa-on-japan-the-modern-music-business-and-global-expansion/ , also Avex is the trademark owner (XG, XGLAX, Alphaz) which can also be found on the Internet. Also, going to the Alphaz or XGALX official website in the Privacy Policy section, we can see this "This policy applies to the Processing of your Personal Data by Avex Management Inc. ("we", "us," and "our") in the services provided on this Application. In the event of any inconsistency between the provisions of this Policy and the provisions of our Privacy Policy (https://avex.com/jp/en/public/privacy/), the provisions of this Policy shall prevail to the extent of the inconsistency." "If you have any questions about this Policy, your rights, or any other matter relating to the protection of your Personal Data, please contact us at the following address: (a) Address of head office: Avex Building, 3-1-30 Minami-Aoyama, Minato-ku, Tokyo 107-8577 (General Reception on 2nd Floor) (b) Name of representative: Shingo Toguchi (c) Contact form: httos://dev-xa.pasch.fan/contact" And everything is signed there by Avex. Proposal to state the official stage debut date in the lead part
I'd like to hold a discussion about recording XG's official major debut stage date. I think it's good to describe not only digital single but also official debut stage in the lead part. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.49.204.165 (talk) 13:01, 19 April 2023 (UTC)
- Unnecessary no other article have debut stage in the lead but you can add it in the body. Lightoil (talk) 13:09, 19 April 2023 (UTC)
Request on 14 May 2023
Hello! I recently incorrectly changed some information on a page of the site, I can't undo the incorrect action to the correct one again because the change button is blocked. This is the page of the XG group, which I incorrectly inserted that the group is based in Japan, replacing "South Korea", as I was confused with the origin of this group, which calls itself global and does not operate in its country of origin , which confused me. While researching I noticed my mistake and hope to fix it.
