Metamaterial lenses?
[edit]Hi, if its of any interest I found a journal article tentatively suggesting that room temperature or ETSC superconductors *might* act like superlenses even at X ray wavelengths, provided that the lattice structure matches up with the desired energy level. Closer to a metamaterial selective filter than a lens but still very useful. In this case even HTSCs may work, its been discussed in various journals that shielding with LTSCs (eg MgB2) might be possible. The actual discovery of YBCO and LaBCO HTSCs was complicated by the crystal acting like a 3-D diffraction grating for certain energies of incident radiation, in this case as the critical temperature is 77K this is a non issue as the imaging takes place above this. 88.81.128.160 (talk) 06:22, 2 February 2023 (UTC)
