I have just modified one external link on Wythenshawe Amateurs F.C.. Please take a moment to review my edit. If you have any questions, or need the bot to ignore the links, or the page altogether, please visit this simple FaQ for additional information. I made the following changes:
- Added archive https://web.archive.org/web/20110928044639/http://www.manchester-league.co.uk/ to http://www.manchester-league.co.uk/

Club Logo
[edit]The club logo / badge needs changing. There is no dot between FC, it should simply be FC. JohnDCotton (talk) 17:17, 19 May 2024 (UTC)
- Sorted. Cheers, Number 57 21:16, 19 May 2024 (UTC)
- Hi number 57, it still shows the dot between F and C, it’s the actual badge that needs changing, we amended it to remove the dot between FC, I have a copy of the new badge, new badge is shown on NWCFL website and our Twitter.
- regards, John Cotton, Secretary, Wythenshawe Football Club 2A02:C7C:E651:2D00:74DD:B67D:62C8:1FDD (talk) 21:33, 19 May 2024 (UTC)
- The badge was updated (as you can see here). You probably need to refresh your cache to make it show (by hitting CTRL and F5). Number 57 23:18, 19 May 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you, very much appreciated, regards, John. JohnDCotton (talk) 08:15, 20 May 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you, for completeness, could you please remove the dots on the main name at the top of the page, where it shows Wythenshawe F.C. to show Wythenshawe FC.
- thanks John JohnDCotton (talk) 08:45, 20 May 2024 (UTC)
- I'm afraid the dots cannot be removed from the article title. This is a standard article name format for English football clubs, hence Colne F.C., Padiham F.C. etc. Number 57 21:33, 20 May 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you for the clear explanation JohnDCotton (talk) 21:42, 20 May 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, we won the Premier Division of Manchester League in 2002-03, I amended the honours but it’s been removed.
- the 2003 title shows on Manchester League website, Wikipedia, and our honours list, if I remember correctly the team at the top had a points deduction, which gave us the title. JohnDCotton (talk) 07:32, 21 May 2024 (UTC)
- Where is it on the Manchester League website (I couldn't find anything and a Google search of the website returns no hits for Wythenshawe)? All the league tables I have come across (such as this one) show Irlam as champions. Number 57 21:32, 21 May 2024 (UTC)
- we were called Wythenshawe Amateurs, it's on Manchester League Wikipedia. 217.38.9.146 (talk) 21:42, 21 May 2024 (UTC)
- I know the name used to include Amateurs, but the Manchester League website does not contain the word "Wythenshawe" anywhere according to Google and you said it was listed on the Manchester League website. Other Wikipedia articles are not reliable sources as editors may have (accidentally/deliberately) added incorrect information. We need a reliable source outside of Wikipedia. - I've noticed it's a new Manchester League website, we joined NWCFL before website changed, not sure if that's the reason. I do our clubs history and honours etc on our website. 217.38.9.146 (talk) 22:06, 21 May 2024 (UTC)
- I checked the league website on web.archive.org, and couldn't find a version with a list of past champions... Number 57 22:39, 21 May 2024 (UTC)
- ok, not to worry, thanks for all your help, as always very much appreciated, regards John. 217.38.9.146 (talk) 22:45, 21 May 2024 (UTC)
- Could you please show our away kit please, it’s red & black stripes shirt, black shorts and red socks, thanks, John JohnDCotton (talk) 15:11, 3 June 2024 (UTC)
- Is what's been added correct? Cheers, Number 57 00:34, 4 June 2024 (UTC)
- Yes, excellent, thanks JohnDCotton (talk) 08:57, 4 June 2024 (UTC)
