[edit]I've been looking at this page [1] and it seems to need a lot of work.
- I'm sorry to have to say that the English is poor, sometimes ungrammatical and not easy to follow.
- Most of the references are arxiv preprints. Peer-reviewed publications are much preferred.
- There are no inline citations.
- Almost all of the notation is unexplained. For example, E, n(E), En, ξ (is this the Riemann xi?). There are two distinct occurrences of H, presumably a Hamiltonian and a Heaviside step function respectively.
- "The derivative of the Euler product on the critical line" makes no sense, it does not converge there.
- "This is one of the most promising approaches to Riemann hypothesis" -- says who? This single sentence is in itself enough to make me feel very uneasy about the whole article.
The article appears at present to be a personal essay or original research. Is there an independent reliable source for the material as a whole? Deltahedron (talk) 22:38, 29 October 2012 (UTC)
- Peer reviewed journals links are included in the 'References' section — Preceding unsigned comment added by Karl-H (talk • contribs) 10:16, 7 November 2012 (UTC)
- I am also concerned that none of these references seems to be a reliable source for the material as a whole. Many of them do not even mention the Wu–Sprung potential, as far as I can tell. Sławomir Biały (talk) 01:08, 15 November 2012 (UTC)
Added Prespacetime Reference JOurnal is a peer-reviewed, is not arxiv.org :) or similar. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Karl-H (talk • contribs) 19:56, 28 February 2013 (UTC)
- That's not a real journal. I can't even see titles and abstracts. Do any institutions even subscribe to this? Of the three-person editorial board, only one of them even seems to have a proper academic affiliation—at the University of Latvia, who is described as an "editor at large" (whatever that means), and whose academic credentials look to be a bit dubious anyway. All of this makes this for a rather questionable source for research mathematics. Moreover, the whole thing seems to be entirely self-published: their issues are hosted in Amazon's CreateSpace? WTF? In any event, without being able to view the contents of the journal without paying their usurious fees (I can only seem to purchase an entire issue online!), I would need a great deal of convincing that somehow this kind of journal meets the standards of referencing for an encyclopedia. - The reference Riemann Zeros Quantum Chaos and Trace formulae http://prespacetime.com/index.php/pst/index Vol 4. nº 2 Progress in Physics ISSN: 2153-8301 seems incorrect. The link is to a journal called "Prespacetime Journal", and "Progress in Physics" is a different journal, with ISSN numbers 1555-5534 and 1555-5615/e, published by University of New Mexico, Department of Mathematics, see http://www.ptep-online.com/index.html. ZMATH does not recognise "Prespacetime Journal". Deltahedron (talk) 07:15, 8 March 2013 (UTC)
is peer-reviewed i sent an article there to check that the journal is peer reviewed if you wish you can do the same submit a research paper to check that there is a peer review process for the journal. Besides not all the journal are published by ELSEVIER or SPRINGER — Preceding unsigned comment added by Karl-H (talk • contribs) 22:04, 11 March 2013 (UTC)
- The journal's own statement is The current policy at this journal is editorial selections of submitted papers for publication and editorial invitation for publication under the advisement of an editorial Advisory Board. All papers published by this journal are either subject to open-peer-review (“OPR”) in the same issue or open to OPR in subsequent issues. [2] This is not normal peer review, nor is it the usual meaning of open peer review. Deltahedron (talk) 22:15, 11 March 2013 (UTC)
- Additional. I note the the publisher of "Prespacetime Journal" is stated to be QuantumDream, Inc. who also publish "DNA Decipher" [3] which states Please also visit Journal of Consciousness Exploration & Research and Prespacetime Journal published by QuantumDream, Inc. and Scientific GOD Journal published by Scientific GOD, Inc. None of this makes me believe that the publisher or publications are a reliable source. Deltahedron (talk) 22:23, 11 March 2013 (UTC)
i vote to delete this article :( it does not refere to the real wu-sprung potential described there — Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.99.107.235 (talk) 19:15, 22 October 2024 (UTC)
