Out of date and not authoritative
Criticisms of Java seem to be based largely on some joke that somebody told as evidenced by a blog article. The article itself is not based on an authoritative understanding of the basis of "Write once, run anywhere" in Java. This article reads like it's either written by a poor student or someone trying to promote other languages against the big guy no the block.
