Contrary to popular beleif, Hitler's party badge was NOT Nr. 1. There was a lengthy discussion on the website Whermachtawards.net which focused on this, and the counclusion was that his party number was Nr. 27. I've corrected this error by removing any reference to the number of the badge. TaylorSAllen 03:32, 18 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wound Badge of 20 July 1944

[edit]

The article says that 13 of the people present when the bomb went off weren't actually injured by the blast, but goes on to say they suffered ruptured eardrums. Which sounds like an injury to me. 24.214.230.66 (talk) 16:12, 5 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Exactly what I thought when I saw it, a perforated eardrum is definitely an injury

Loss of manhood and automatic iron cross

The german stipulations include neither. Not even the later ammendments.--217.247.152.85 (talk) 15:02, 24 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Those have been removed. Kierzek (talk) 01:20, 24 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

WB only for frostbite ?

[edit]

Where is the source for that ? It seems, that personnel also was rewarded with it for a couple of illnesses, too. --129.187.244.19 (talk) 12:43, 30 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

e. g.: Sepp Dietrich got a WB without being wounded by enemy fire (perhaps he claimed that later); judging from his military roster entries, he suffered repeatedly from ear illnesses during the war. --129.187.244.19 (talk) 12:47, 30 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Uncited and not mentioned in body text, therefore, removed. Kierzek (talk) 13:48, 30 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Repeatedly wounded - and what about heaviness ?

[edit]

Somewhat awkward, that stressing of how often somebody was wounded. Case 1: soldier, three times mere bagatelle wounds (graze shot, lighter flesh wound or sth. like that). Case 2: soldier, loosing in one occasion, say, an eye or an arm (undoubtedly, severe wounds). First man got silver, second black ? --2001:A61:2B86:9801:EC0D:3B2B:E8EC:5D67 (talk) 14:30, 23 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
