China / Taiwan Referencing
[edit]Normal use of China in english speaking countries is to refer to the people's republic of China. Opinions on Taiwan generally vary between a state called Taiwan and a province of China with de-facto self government. It is not a normal use of China to refer to Taiwan as the government of Taiwan is not seen as the legitimate government of mainland China in English speaking countries. Changing references to China to PRC only potentially confuses people.Simonm223 (talk) 18:39, 10 July 2009 (UTC)
WUC and NED
[edit]Someone indicated citation is needed to substantiate financial link between WUC and NED. I wonder if any of these are credible source to the fact: 1) WUC's own press release: http://uyghuramerican.org/old/articles/2898/1/Third-General-Assembly-of-the-World-Uyghur-Congress-to-be-held-in-Washington-DC/index.html 2) NED's own grant publication: http://www.ned.org/where-we-work/asia/china-xinjiang/east-turkistan
Basically, this fact can be established with information public on Google. Bobby fletcher (talk) 17:04, 26 September 2014 (UTC)
