Youth pairs

[edit]

There is great confusion here and at the WBF website regarding pairs events for Youth: odd years, even years, 1st WMSG 2008, continuing component of the Bridge Games.

Also upto-25, under-26, upto-26, U26. --P64 (talk) 01:36, 12 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Youth Pairs and Individuals. Yesterday I started major expansion of this article and the companion World Junior Teams Championship. They retain their limited "Junior Championship" titles without any redirects.
Provisionally I will cover all the pairs and individuals events in the WBF Youth program here. Provisionally I will include world events for young players that are not in the WBF Youth program —such as the University Teams but for pairs or individuals.
After the 2nd World Youth Congress (August 2011) and 2nd World Bridge Games (August 2012) are in the books, meaning the WBF website database, it will be easier to see continuity and (dis)continuity, and to re-section this article or write some new ones where appropriate.--P64 (talk) 19:56, 12 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Teams events in the 2nd World Youth Congress are underway. The final of the main event for teams is tomorrow (Friday); the main event for pairs begins Sunday. (select "Results")
In this article, the new section Scope and new hatnote explain the WBF youth program with emphasis on allocation of its coverage here and to the companion World Junior Teams Championship. --P64 (talk) 18:47, 25 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

World and Europe Youth Pairs

[edit]

The 2011 World should have concluded a few hours ago. The WBF site is troubled with timeouts or missing pages, while the EBL site is up. So i am entering some Euro data here, more than should be included in this article, I suppose.

I do not expect to clean up until tomorrow. --P64 (talk) 20:17, 30 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
