Kudo missing?

[edit]

As far as I know, Kudo was an invitational sports at the 2013 World Games in Cali.[1][2][3] --Tomakos (talk) 16:09, 18 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

In the references you provided, kudo and 3 or 4 other sports are described as "exhibition sports". These are different from the invitational sports. Also, the kudo federation was not a member of the World Games Association at the time, according to the reference. Jeff in CA (talk) 16:00, 9 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Roller Road Skating - an invitational sport in 2013?

[edit]

At the Cali World Games 2013 web site that is referenced elsewhere (http://worldgames2013.sportresult.com/NH/en/300), there are only four sports listed as invitational sports. Road Roller Skating is not one of them. By what source is it stated that Road Roller Skating was an invitational sport in 2013? How can this discrepancy be explained? Jeff in CA (talk) 20:16, 30 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

In order for the 2013 final medal total in the official sports (176, 169, 169, 514) to be correct as shown for all countries at http://worldgames2013.sportresult.com/NH/en/300/Medal/HistoricalMedals?medalKind=DefaultSports , the 24 medals from the eight road roller skating events must be included. I will make the appropriate adjustment to the table in this article. Jeff in CA (talk) 08:15, 9 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

1989 Invitational Sports

[edit]

I can find no reference that states that boomerang, flying disc and triathlon were invitational sports in 1989. Could someone please provide a suitable reference? Jeff in CA (talk) 13:23, 14 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I just found this passage that says they were “demonstration sports”: “(In 1989) Aikido and Minigolf were presented as invitational sports, and Triathlon, Boomerang and Flying Disc were among the demonstration sports. This was the first time there were sports demonstrations at The World Games.” Source. Jeff in CA (talk) 13:45, 14 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
