Fair use rationale for Image:WEDlogo2006.jpg

[edit]

Image:WEDlogo2006.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Added rationale and deleted template. Let me know if I left out anything necessary.--Hjal 17:29, 3 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Theme 2020 or Theme 2011?

[edit]

I believe that the section -Theme 2020 - is supposed to be Theme 2011. I am not absolutely sure, since I'm not an expert in this field, but here is a reference source: http://www.unep.org/wed/WEDThatWas/2011/

Hi friend Jitu444 (talk) 03:07, 4 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

It seems that the 2020 mistake was corrected. The link for 2011 you gave no longer works but I found a partial one for 2011. More would be better, here or in article. Thanks Pianone. Swliv (talk) 16:59, 17 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on World Environment Day. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

Remove the 'PR' template?

[edit]

Some of my complaint is with the wording of the template, particularly "or a news article" and 'sensationalism' for different reasons. One can see some discussion of this sort of complaint at Template_talk:Cleanup-PR#Should_there_be_guidelines_for_when_editor_disagrees_with_a_tagging? and elsewhere on that Talk page. But as it appears on the WED page here, the template doesn't add enough constructive that I see and the 'sensationalism' allusion in particular seems gratuitous and inapplicable. I favor removing the PR template.

If the template is removed I would suggest replacing it with something like:

Please signal agreement or disagreement or other thoughts on one or both changes below. Thanks. Swliv (talk) 18:48, 17 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

why should we plant saplings each year?

[edit]

than killing trees we must actually plant saplings so we help mother nature grow trees as trees are the lungs of the earth as the trees help us reduce carbon dioxide and give us oxygen to breath we must grow trees every year 2402:4000:1181:D9E8:114E:5221:7087:19B1 (talk) 12:21, 6 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
