This is a Cult
[edit]Just watched a People Magazine story about this place and it is a Cult not a church!! The story reports about mental, and physical abuse. Scary if it is being called a church; very deceiving. 2600:1700:27B0:F420:ADDC:BF4B:915B:158A (talk) 17:00, 11 April 2022 (UTC)
Issues within the article
[edit]I have identified that this article has several issues. First of all, it seems that some sections are incomplete e.g. "History" not talking about the allegations and stuff. And it appears to me that the original author(s) wants to dismiss the investigations by Associated Press by overusing The Associated Press reported [...]
. Perhaps the author(s) did not think that the Associated Press was reliable so they had to quote the AP every time? I think the lead could be improved as well, covering details of the allegations of abuse. 0xDEADBEEF (T C) 12:55, 29 April 2022 (UTC)
- 0xDeadbeef I guess "original author" means me because I took a declined draft and tried to make it a worthwhile article.
- Not sure what you mean by "talking about the allegations and stuff". I welcome anyone improving that.
- I hadn't checked this article lately so I didn't know about your concerns. Making statements such as "The Associated Press reported" is making sure these controversial assertions are not presented in a way that makes them fact, as long as the accused are innocent until proven guilty. I just assumed that was the better approach.
- And while I looked for positive coverage, I didn't find any that met Wikipedia's definition of reliable source.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 22:56, 31 March 2023 (UTC)
