I've added, "Woodilee once had the largest continuous corridor in Europe" My source is both my parents worked at the hospital and have told me this.

Regarding "Black Friday," I recall the Glasgow Herald reporting at the time that utter neglect of roof leaks had led to the mortar dissolving away to the extent that bricks and stones could be removed by hand. Large numbers of residents and staff were moved to other institutions throughout Glasgow. The Glasgow Association for Mental Health campaigned for the displaced patients to be resettled in the community rather than returned to new or restored buildings at Woodilee.
