Proper name
[edit]The proper noun and name of this light station is "Wood Island Light" with light capitalized per both the USCG and the United States Park Service.Gateman1997 01:44, 7 January 2006 (UTC)
History
[edit]While both the USCG history site [1] and the National Register of Historic Places listing give the date of construction of the tower as 1808, the Inventory of Historic Light Stations [2] confirms the sequence in the article.
