Tonnage

How is it possible for the net tonnage to be greater than the gross tonnage? I thought gross was all the interior space, and net was just the cargo space. GA-RT-22 (talk) 16:48, 19 March 2022 (UTC)

Number of engines

The infobox says there are 4 12-cylinder engines and 2 16-cylinder. But the text says there are 18 of each. Which is it? I can't tell from the DNV register, which is the cited source. GA-RT-22 (talk) 16:55, 19 March 2022 (UTC)

remove of new "Controversy" paragraph

Hi everybody thanks to @ga-rt-22 for reading the new "Controversy" chapter I added. But for "unsourced" reason @ga-rt-22 deleted this new chapter, that contains many sources. I therefore submit to other readers for their opinion this added chapter which intends to show an event concerning this ship for the reason that it is the largest cruise ship in the world. Here is the text of the chapter in question:

As the largest cruise ship, the Wonder of the Seas carries the symbolism of the environmental impact of this kind of cruise ship. I removed it as explained in the edit box its a minor insignificant event in the history of the ship, 2 hours delay is not worthy of mention and quite clearly fails WP:TENYEARTEST Lyndaship (talk) 14:52, 14 July 2022 (UTC)

"...all new suite neighborhood..."?

Under the heading "Description and design", the second paragraph states "Wonder of the Seas has eight different 'neighborhoods', including an all new suite neighborhood" (emphasis added). This begs two questions: how can one area on a ship which was completed less than a year ago (as of when I write this) be described as "all new"? The entire ship is "all new". And the source cited describes "The eight distinct neighborhoods on Wonder of the Seas" including "Suite Neighborhood" (note capitalization). The source gives no explanation for why this "neighborhood" is called "Suite Neighborhood", but the mention of it in the Wiki (using the lower-case) is simply confusing. A "suite" is commonly understood to mean an entire private living quarters within a larger structure (such as a private reception room, bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette and living room, within a hotel). A "neighborhood" is understood to mean a collection of adjoining buildings, streets and common areas. The two terms cannot be forced into a relationship without an explanation, and still make any sense. I propose that the sentence be pruned down to "'Wonder of the Seas' has eight different 'neighborhoods'.", and this become part of the first paragraph. Bricology (talk) 08:46, 20 February 2023 (UTC)

Please do so. The source is a puff piece and I would argue we shouldn't be using it at all. "Neighborhoods" is a marketing term and including this information does not give us a better encyclopedic understanding of the subject. GA-RT-22 (talk) 22:05, 20 February 2023 (UTC)
