It looks like Association football in Australia will be getting a rename. This proposal is to bring it in line with the main article about the sport in the country. My rational is the same one I used on that page and the page for the category rename. --LauraHale (talk) 15:22, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
Hold, most clubs, and the federating body itself employ football. The article, and related material, seems to indicate a movement towards football (the federation name for example) rather than towards soccer. Either way, this move should wait until the results of Association football in Australia is decided.--Labattblueboy (talk) 02:42, 10 July 2011 (UTC)
