Why image deletion?

[edit]

There used to be a photo in this article of a girl playing cricket. Why was it deleted in February 2010? Wi2g Wi2g 21:53, 27 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned references in Women's cricket

[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Women's cricket's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "mostruns":

  • From List of international cricket centuries by Younis Khan: "Records – Test matches – Batting records – Most runs in an innings". ESPNcricinfo. Retrieved 8 December 2012.
  • From List of international cricket centuries by Chris Gayle: "Records / Test matches / Batting records / Most runs in an innings". ESPNcricinfo. Archived from the original on 5 March 2010. Retrieved 3 March 2013.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 12:55, 27 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Plan for Improvement

[edit]

When I start on a biography or piece of women's history, I like to leave my thoughts and intentions on the Talk page. It's a way for myself and others to see what I have planned, as I may be working on and off on a page for some time. It also provides a place for other editors to add suggestions and discuss intended improvements or contribute themselves.

Women's Cricket: Initial plan is to take pages such as Women's association football, Women's Australian rules football and Roller derby as examples and build the page out from there.

  • Add Infobox (complete)

Olympics

[edit]

The statement on the 2028 olympics is to definitive. The decision follows in October in Mumbai and the source seem to be from last year, but includes a newer date. The decision was not made in February as the cited Article claims.--Maphry (talk) 22:33, 25 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for pointing that out to me. I've reworded it and added an additional source about the final decision. MsJoat (talk) 11:41, 26 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
