Background article
[edit]I have been working (hard) on the article 1892 Broken Hill miners' strike to form background for the Women's Brigade.
I suspect that it would also be useful to have an article on the 'Big Strike' of 1919-1920. If anyone wants to create this and work on it I'd appreciate it.
I might try to chase up the reference to the 'sweep' of the Moonta and Walaroo mines in the year 1874 found at THE BROKEN HILL STRIKE. (1889, November 14). The Advertiser (Adelaide, SA : 1889-1931), p. 5. Retrieved April 15, 2011, from http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article24488285 to form get some history on the formation of the Women's Brigade.
