Hi. This article should be merged with Wolverton A.F.C., but only to highlight the latter status of Wolverton A.F.C. The correct procedure would be to clarify the link by inserting into the Wolverton A.F.C. article something akin to the following:
- "Wolverton A.F.C. were reformed in 2004 as Wolverton Town F.C., an amateur Association Football club based in Wolverton, Milton Keynes."
The rest of the information is not notable as regards Wikipedia guidelines, and should be discarded.
This page, Wolverton Town F.C., should then be made a redirect to → Wolverton A.F.C. Thanks. Ref (chew)(do) 22:50, 28 December 2007 (UTC)
- Regarding the statement "doesn't seem to have any other claim to notability" in the prod, the fact that they are a reformation of a defunct but notable football club, and who qualify as such for a mention in the Wolverton A.F.C. article, means that the article should instead be considered for a valid redirect to Wolverton A.F.C. Thanks. Ref (chew)(do) 11:50, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
- If they are the continuation of a notable club then the current club would at least get a mention. As such, a small merge and redirect would be proper; I think outright deletion whilst this is being decided/acted upon isn't helpful. As such I'm disputing the prod and removing the tag, and I'll replace with a redirect. --kingboyk (talk) 12:10, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
- Fine by me, I probably should have thought of that myself in the first place.......... ChrisTheDude (talk) 20:56, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
