Talk:Woking Ponds
Proposed Deletion
[edit]I'm working on the Woking Park article, which includes a section relating to these ponds, hence I came upon this page. This is a relatively small landscape development within Woking park and I don't think it is indepedantly notable, especially as no refs are provided. I'm going to go and look for refs to flesh out the section in Woking Park, and I proposed this article be merged to there.--ThePaintedOne (talk) 11:29, 12 January 2011 (UTC)
I've copied the page contents to User:ThePaintedOne/WokingPondTemp for reference, I don't want to copy directly to Woking Park as none of this is referenced. Rather I'm going to use this to assist in finding refs for that page.--ThePaintedOne (talk) 11:33, 12 January 2011 (UTC)
Hi,
I'm the creator of the Woking Park Article and when I saw this I thought, after a few seconds it would be a good Article to merge to the Article I've created. I agree with ThePaintedOne-Merge it to Woking Park. It isn't the biggest Landscape project in the world-It's only minor. I would not wish for this page to be deleted as it has some good infomation on it-apart from Refs. I vote either marge to Woking Park or, instead of deleting, keep. I would prefer to merge it though!
Thanks, pbl1998--Pbl1998 (talk) 20:02, 12 January 2011 (UTC)
- I don't think it needs copying in it's entirety though, just the highlights. e.g. no one is really going to be interested in what volume of water is flowing through the water feature! To be honest, once I started looking for citations it was easier to just work from those than to use this. Most of the info is the same anyway. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if this whole page was a copyvio from somewhere as it reads rather like a self promotion piece from the builders.--ThePaintedOne (talk) 20:28, 12 January 2011 (UTC)

No objections raised so I'm going to do the merge.--ThePaintedOne (talk) 14:55, 19 January 2011 (UTC)
