This book needs an editor
[edit]I've only just started this book, and have already found two egregious editors. One, Birmingham refers to the "UCLA campus at Berkeley". That's not just wrong, it's offensive to those of who attended the UC campus at Berkeley, which is different from the UC campus in Los Angeles. Secondly, the book says that the population of Holguin, Cuba is 300. I think that's 300,000. Who then was a gentleman? (talk) 07:49, 6 March 2009 (UTC)
Bush Would Have Survived
[edit]The Wave hit on March 14, 2003. President Bush was at a summit meeting in the Azores at the time. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.142.203.121 (talk) 20:33, 19 March 2009 (UTC)
- Indeed he would've. However, the book may take place in a world where Bush never went to the Azores on March 14, 2003. Besides, the fate of Bush is never fully revealed beyond a shadow of a doubt in the books, although it is heavily implied and assumed that he was in Washington, D.C. and was killed by "The Wave".
