[edit]I'm doing a report on this song
I would like to know what some people think
And see how other people percieve this poem
And what part they think effects them most and why
Thank You!

Does the song talk to Americans, or everyone?
[edit]The article's statement that the song "address[es] the tendency of Americans to believe that God will invariably side with them" is not obviously supported by the given link. Surely Dylan the universalist may be recognising that many countries/races/groups tend to believe that He is with them in war? Evidence one way or the other would be useful. Meanwhile, I've inserted "(or many societies)". Which is not ideal, or supported. But you do better. Onanoff (talk) 18:35, 2 May 2024 (UTC)
