Final track
[edit]Just for reassurance if anyone's wondering, the title of the final track is in fact and officially a YouTube URL. Sure the URL when entered on a web browser goes to a song video for "Dance Party" by the band, but on this site, we don't go by what something is referred to as unofficially without regards to what is done officially and in printed/written form. In this case, the track title is indeed "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tgmzrio93-y" per Allmusic[1] and the album cover's backside itself.[2] Hopefully this will end the edit warring before I'll need to have this page protected by disruptive IP adresses ignoring the hidden notice that I put up exactly for this reason. -- GunMetal Angel 22:02, 5 April 2011 (UTC)
- I was just about to call iTunes on this, but wow. That's kind of hilarious. --KЯĀŽΨÇÉV13 20:29, 9 May 2011 (UTC)
I thought of putting a footnote to see if we can curb the need to crack this easter egg, but I can't get the formatting right. The note is:
- "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tgMzriO93-Y" is the track title as it appears on the album. When used as a URL it goes to a YouTube video on the band's official channel, entitled "Dance Party"
The problem is that when using <ref group=Note name=Note01/>
right after the title it puts the superscript before the closing quote, and when using the parameter |extra10=
it puts it inside parentheses. Any ideas? — Frankie (talk) 17:00, 21 December 2012 (UTC)
- Yes, template {{Track listing}} seems a bit less than optimal in its choice of formatting. In my opinion, the parentheses shouldn't automatically be added around the noteXX parameters. But the template's fully protected, so I guess we'd need to find an Admin to fix it. I started a discussion on the template talk page. Mojoworker (talk) 01:20, 22 December 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for looking into it, and I'm following that page now. Except for the current formatting issues, I like how it works as a footnote, but I'm not opposed to the note being put as regular content as it was proposed there, in case someone wants to give it a shot — Frankie (talk) 17:01, 26 December 2012 (UTC)

I suggest a new parameter that allows refgroups. Its very simple, just make it so that it goes next to the title but outside the paranthesis. And this parameter could probably used for long notes to not crowd the tracklist.Lucia Black (talk) 09:16, 24 December 2012 (UTC)
- Yes, that sounds like it could be useful. You can propose the parameter in the thread linked above — Frankie (talk) 17:01, 26 December 2012 (UTC)
