labeling pop artists as hip hop
[edit]they dont do hip hop what they make is pop and reggeaton music its an insult to hip hop artists if you label this duo as rappers or hip hop artists hell why dont you just call them emcees if you gonna put such an ubsurd label as their music being hip hop —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.171.166.82 (talk) 22:31, 4 June 2010 (UTC)
Even though their main genre is reggaeton, they do have hip hop songs, such as the Rakata remix with Tea Time, so mentioning hip hop as one of their genres seems correct to me 83.98.245.68 (talk) 11:32, 23 August 2010 (UTC)
De Otra Manera release year
[edit]Someone keeps insisting on labeling it as 2002 even though their website says its 2004. --Pasajero 15:21, 5 May 2007 (UTC)
- that is true, the album De Otra Manera was released in 2004 and not 2002. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.195.36.174 (talk) 02:26, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
The deffinition of reggaeton.
[edit]REGGAETON- reg·gae·tón (rě-gā-tōn') n. A style of popular dance music of Caribbean origin that combines elements of dancehall, hip-hop, and various Caribbean musical elements, featuring lyrics that are rapped or sung in Spanish.
[American Spanish reggaetón, reguetón : English reggae + Spanish -tón, n. suff.] —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.19.135.117 (talk) 19:49, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
Yandel is happily married to Wendy Rivera and Wisin is fucking around with Paquita Del Barrio.

[edit]I don't think hip hop is one of their genres.
Wisin
[edit]What is the origin of the name"Wisin"? Is it some kind of borrowing from English? Grover cleveland (talk) 23:11, 8 June 2013 (UTC)
"Artistic Careers Section" Reads like promotional material.
[edit]This section is blatantly biased, e.g. "..It allows them to reach a large audience of any age and any skin color". — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.151.83.146 (talk) 05:29, 23 October 2012 (UTC)
Latin American media says that the duo is now splitting forever
[edit]Various latin american media (whose websites are in Spanish), are saying that Wisin and Yandel will be splitting this time forever, with their final album announced called "La Última Misión" led by the single "Recordar". Is most apparently that after the release of the album, the duo splits up. For any other info related to this thread, please check their social media, most specially Instagram. Thank you. Como en los Tiempos de Antes
[edit]I find very little information about Como en los Tiempos de Antes released in November 2018.[1] I see some sources listing it as a compilaiton album,[2] but the material seems new. Other sources list it as a new album, mentioning a previous title Como Antes: En La Macarena.[3] Can anyone who knows this music shed light on this? --Muhandes (talk) 10:39, 12 October 2022 (UTC)
- So the title in Spanish means Like Old Times. I did listen to the tracks and it is using old school Reggaetón beats. This might be either unreleased tracks from the early and mid 2000s or tracks created and released in 2018 using those beats from Reggaetón. DominicanWikiEdit1996 (talk) 07:26, 14 October 2022 (UTC)
- @DominicanWikiEdit1996: Thanks for the information, my ears are deaf to this music. Do any of the sources, here or otherwise accessible to you, clarify what this album actually is? Where do you think should it be listed in the discography, is the current listing as a compilation album appropriate? I want to add it to Wisin & Yandel discography too. --Muhandes (talk) 08:19, 14 October 2022 (UTC)
- On MusicBrainz, it's labeled as a DJ Mix album. While in Apple Music it's labeled as a studio album. So put it as a DJ Mix or as "other". If you choose to label it as other, specify why. DominicanWikiEdit1996 (talk) 04:40, 17 October 2022 (UTC)
- Good catch, didn't notice the MusicBrainz listing. --Muhandes (talk) 16:46, 17 October 2022 (UTC)
