Date of Creation
[edit]I have put down as the created date 1967. I'm not certain that is the right date to use. There is certainly an argument to be made that the Public Welfare Department in the 1930's or even the previous Public Health board should be the creation date. I am basing it on the WisDOT article which uses the state reorg in 1967 as the date of that department's creation. Capitalismojo (talk) 15:01, 10 July 2013 (UTC)
Justification for 'importance'
[edit]I am an experienced Wikipedian, but have never spent much time on assessments (quality, importance). So as I am about to do a large number of manual changes, I am going to paste this justification in each one.
I am going through all the executive department articles and assessing them all as 'mid' importance, because I believe they clearly fall into the criteria: "The article covers a topic that has a strong but not vital role in the study of Wisconsin." It is a good idea to know what the Wisconsin DNR is, for example (because it may make national news, or might be the point of contact for a scientists biology research, etc), but not "vital."
