G'day Guys

I have been researching the Wireless Institute of Queensland and its first and only president Bruce Rockwell. I expected that meeting reports of the WIQ would appear in the newspapers of the day until commencement of WWI, but all references appear to cease by the end of 1912.

Notability

G'day Guys I see that a template has been added to this article which questions whether the article meets Wikipedia's notability guidelines and suggests the article may be deleted. While I am not greatly concerned at the prospect as this article is a cut and paste of the Wikibooks article which will remain regardless (notability guidelines do no apply there). But the WIQ was Queensland's first radio club and, as such, is inherently notable. The organisation was a key to the Wireless Institute of Australia claiming complete coverage of Australia before WW1 and its members went on to achieve much towards Australia's national security in World War 1. The Queensland Wireless Institute (later Wireless Institute of Australia (Queensland Division)) from 1919 was essentially a reforming of the Wireless Institute of Queensland. While it would be possible to include the WIQ in an article about the QWI, the WIQ would tend to get lost in such an article. It would be unfortunate if this well researched article was lost to Wikipedia.-Samuel.dellit (talk) 22:52, 16 August 2019 (UTC)

Let me clarify the tag. Per WP:ORGCRITE an organization is notable if it has been "the subject of significant coverage in multiple reliable secondary sources that are independent of the subject". Some book mentions and publications that cover this organization in depth (not just trivial mentions) would help to establish notability. --Bbarmadillo (talk) 07:06, 18 August 2019 (UTC)
