I think the article Hearts and Minds (Vietnam) should be merged with this one. They're practically the same now. I like the title ~"Winning Hearts and Minds better. It's more inclusive. I have the intention of expanding this article to include more information about the actual winning hearts and minds programs in Vietnam, and possibly Iraq and Afghanistan. I would suggest also that "Pacification" re-direct to this article. This article would probably best be titled "Pacification" -- but nobody would read it with that title. So, Winning hearts and minds it should be. Smallchief (talk 12:02, 29 May 2014 (UTC)
- I have no strong feeling on this, but I think that the current article is on the general concept of the phrase, and the Vietnam article is on a particular execution of it. bd2412 T 13:00, 29 May 2014 (UTC)
- Nor do I feel stongly. I'm just kinda wanting the issue to be resolved before I begin work on one or the other of the articles. Smallchief (talk 14:08, 29 May 2014 (UTC)
Given the underwhelming response, positive or negative, to the proposal to merge this article -- and due to the work I have put into this article to make it Vietnam specific, I'm going to remove the merge tag. Smallchief (talk 11:03, 24 June 2014 (UTC)
