What Culture Pro Wrestling

[edit]

This promotion is fairly prominent. They've had guests such as Bret Hart, Kurt Angel, Alberto El-Patron, Cody Rhodes... one could argue they are currently the most well known promotion that goes by WCPW. Can we have at least a disambiguation page? Uninvited Ghost (talk) 08:06, 13 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I have to agree. WCPW is pretty darn huge right now. They attract A level talent, and the only reason they aren't on here is because they run a YouTube show instead of an actual show on TV, therefore self-promotion. Morph1138 (talk) 07:42, 17 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

This promotion did not do their due diligence and thus opened in violation of my US Federally Registered Trademark! Their product never should have been allowed to air on YouTube in the U.S. in violation of my Trademark Rights. This is why many of their videos have been blocked in this Country due to my Lawyer's Trademark Violation Reports to YouTube. This company ignored several cease and desist letters and knew that they were in violation of my Trademark. This is why the only show that they ran in the U.S. in 2016 was promoted as "What Culture Pro Wrestling" instead of WCPW. That is concrete proof that they knew they were violating my U.S. Trademark. They have changed their name and finally shut down. My Lawyer has been told that they have no plans to ever run shows again under that name and we continue to have their YouTube videos blocked in the U.S. They should not be mentioned in relation to my Trademark. They have no connection nor did they ever have permission to use my Company's Trademarked name.WCPWowner (talk) 19:10, 3 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Correction to above statement. The only show that What Culture Pro Wrestling ran in the U.S. was in 2017, not 2016. Simple typo.WCPWowner (talk) 21:54, 3 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

How can you make a Copyright claim against the legal copyright owner? I own the logo of my company and I personally uploaded it. nobody is trying to hide the fact that I am the WCPW Owner. It's my screen name for crying out loud!WCPWowner (talk) 19:12, 3 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

COI

[edit]

WCPWowner (talk · contribs) has an obvious COI that doesn't need explanation (see username). I've tagged the page appropriately. ♟♙ (talk) 14:24, 2 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The documentation for Template:COI is quite clear (highlighting in original):

Like the other neutrality-related tags, if you place this tag, you should promptly start a discussion on the article's talk page to explain what is non-neutral about the article. If you do not start a discussion, any editor will be justified in removing the tag without warning.

Note that the criterion is "explain what is non-neutral", not "assert that it doesn't need explanation". Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 14:44, 2 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Furthermore please explain why you have undone several of my edits to the article, such as my use of {{Start date}} and {{Plainlist}}? And restored the accessibility-damaging {{small}} templates? And undone my removal of the promotional "new logo and new merchandise were created..."? And why you did all this with an edit summary of "revert COI edits"? Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 14:47, 2 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I don't understand your complaint. I fulfilled the template documentation requirement by starting the discussion under which you've just commented, with the rationale that the editor's username blatantly states their COI. I won't revert your knee-jerk removal, though, cause I'm nice like that. The other reverts were accidental, as I was attempting to revert further COI edits, and you'll note I attempted to reinstate several of your updates. You seem very emotional, Andy. Please WP:AGF in the future. ♟♙ (talk) 14:54, 2 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not in the least emotional, so don't try to deflect my valid criticism of your behaviour with that old ad hominem trope. You did not meet the requirement, for the reason I already stated. Nor am I required to assume good faith when you revet my good edits - and mine alone - with an edit sumamry of "revert COI edits". At the time of writing, you have not reinstated any of my changes using the various templates I mentioned. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 15:03, 2 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
In the time you've been here having a temper tantrum about your hurt ego, I've been reinserting your edits. Your "criticisms" of me are without merit and your attitude sucks, frankly. If you disagree, take me to AN/I. I dare you. ♟♙ (talk) 15:21, 2 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know if this is the place to reply to your statements, I am not proficient in how to use this forum. However, I am the owner of WCPW, James K. Duck. If anyone has the right to edit this page, it's me. You literally have a page that uses my intellectual property to drive your revenue. My interest is not "conflicted". This IP is my interest. You have deleted all of my factual edits and reverted the page to a bunch of falsehoods. Why have you included a "roster" section that lists over two dozen wrestlers that have never worked for my company in ANY year. That includes the years run by the previous owner of my company. You have taken it upon yourself to edit my IP in a way that damages my company by making false claims about who has worked for it in the past. So again, you have deleted accurate edits by the Company Owner and replaced them with lies that presents my company in a false light.

Are you saying that complete strangers with no connection to my company or knowledge of my company are able to write the history of my company but I as the Owner of this company am not allowed to create the accurate history of my own Intellectual Property? You even deleted the file that I uploaded of the new company logo that I paid to have created and I am the sole owner of. You make a copyright claim against Me, the actual copyright owner. Ridiculous!

If this is how you operate Wikipedia, then please direct me to your legal department and my IP Lawyer can have a conversation with them. The only permission that I give for my intellectual property to be used on here, is if I submit it Myself. No one else has a right to give permission to promote my IP other than Myself. If you are going to forbid me from correcting your false and misleading edits or to rectify your misrepresentation of my company, then you will need to delete this entire page at my request. I do not give permission for you to create fake histories about my company or to misrepresent information about my company. Your reckless behavior will undoubtedly cause harm to my company and I cannot allow that.WCPWowner (talk) 19:01, 3 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
