This place is really frustrating! What exactly is the problem with this article again?! There are hundreds of other hotel articles similar to this!Payam81

  • I think the problem is that nobody has demonstrated why the subject is worthy of an article or even asserted any basis for notability. You should review WP:LOCAL and WP:CORP in this regard. Also, the current version reads like a travel guide entry, which is not appropriate for an encyclopedia. Please review WP:NOT#DIRECTORY and WP:NOT#IINFO for more information. Finally, the existence of other similar articles does not mean that this one should also be included. One cannot assume that the others should not be deleted as well. See WP:INN. -- Butseriouslyfolks 09:01, 28 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the info. This place has a few important notables, first it was the place where Toronto Film Festival started over 30 years ago which is discussed in the CTV News article. Second, it is one of oldest hotels in Toronto dating back to 1920's. I think this would qualify it as an important place? Maybe some one else could do some more editing and add these info in there? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Payam81 (talkcontribs) 17:22, 28 January 2007 (UTC).[reply]
I just added some historical info to the article. I think its designation as a historic property plus the birthplace of the TIFF makes it sufficiently notable to merit an article. -- Butseriouslyfolks 18:49, 28 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed, CSD tag removed. --Steve (Slf67) talk 02:46, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
