Merge with Windecker Eagle
[edit]The Windecker Eagle article has a good deal of overlap with the Windecker Industries article and, since neither of these articles have huge amounts of information, I suggest we merge the two into one. Willy Logan 16:58, 23 November 2005 (UTC)
yes, that seems reasonable. i didn't find the windecker industries article when i searched for the Windecker Eagle. Maybe the title should have the Eagle in it somehow.
there is some non overlapping information to combine somehow. i'm leaving for thanksgiving at the moment but i can attempt a merge when i return.
thanks.

- I've performed the merge with Windecker Eagle. Three pieces of information were inconsistent between the two articles, noted here:
- Only five production examples were built. (My source said six; was one of the prototypes included in this count?)
- The aircraft example owned by Dow Chemical was donated to the Smithsonian museum in 1985. (My source said, or at least I think it said, that it was Dr. Windecker's plane in the Smithsonian.)
- Range at 10000 ft: 1230 sm (And here mine said 1,100; my range may be from a different altitude.)
- I will check over my source when I get access to it again, and see if I can establish consistency between the two. Willy Logan 05:06, 25 November 2005 (UTC)
03 Jan 2008 edit
[edit]I amplified a few areas of the Windecker article, based on a visit to the Windecker factory (1968) and conversations with co-workers who left Cessna to work for Windecker, as well as following its reported progress in the aviation press of the time. If somebody has more details on what I have added, feel free to delete/amplify/amend as needed Raymondwinn (talk) 15:41, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
