Warez group info not correct

[edit]

"The first warez group to bring WinPlay3 to attention of a wider audience was Compress Da Audio. They released CDs, with WinPlay3 included, on several warez FTP sites."

CDA released the first known mp3 rip of a song. [1] The early releases were single tracks, not CDs. A list of early nfo files can be found at https://www.mp3scene.info/releases/ CDA does not mention WinPlay3 in their nfos. However RDM (RiP Da MuSiK) mentions the player and included it in their releases: [2] "Install the supplied MPEG audio player under windows and select the music file you want to play!!!" wannabe-RDM includes MP3-PLAY.ZIP in rdm-wb02.zip On 29/8/1996 they released WinPlay3_V1.40_Registered-RDM.
