Thought I might do this quick one, as it obviously doesn't take much time and you've got enough up without reviews at the moment. I will go along and copy-edit if I need to do so, but feel free to revert. Cheers, Aaroncrick TALK 09:48, 3 December 2010 (UTC)
Comments
[edit]- No Dab links
Early life and career
[edit]- "Cricket in Trinidad at the time was divided along racial lines and to cricket clubs on the island, the colour of a player's skin was crucial."—I don't like the last part of the sentence after island. Comma should not be used. Seperate sentence would be what I'd favour.
- Done. --Sarastro1 (talk) 20:15, 3 December 2010 (UTC)
First-class cricketer
[edit]- "... St Hill scored 6 runs, batting at number three, and 48 batting at number six."—Any reason why 6 isn't spelt out?
- Er... Artistic merit? Fixed ! --Sarastro1 (talk) 20:15, 3 December 2010 (UTC)
- Link opening the batting?
- Done. --Sarastro1 (talk) 20:15, 3 December 2010 (UTC)
- "Lord Harris, having seen this innings, saw this century and described St Hill as the best batsman in the West Indies."—Having seen this innings, well he obviously saw the century?
- Done. --Sarastro1 (talk) 20:15, 3 December 2010 (UTC)
- "Despite his poor form, St Hill played in the first two Test matches, making 4 and 9 during West Indies inaugural Test, batting at number five and scoring 3 and 38 in the second Test, batting at number four."—How come you only spell out some? I've seen this used, however, when there's other scores in the sentence.
- I'd prefer to leave this as there are other scores in the sentence above ten and I think it's better to have all the scores as words or figures and not mix. However, I realise this is a clash with the batting position, so... If it's a huge problem, I'll change it. --Sarastro1 (talk) 20:15, 3 December 2010 (UTC)
- I see you dont spell out numbers in some sentences where there is no other figure above ten—why?
- As far as I can tell, all the others are in a sentence with figures over ten, apart from the one above. However, I may be blind, so feel free to point them out. --Sarastro1 (talk) 20:15, 3 December 2010 (UTC)
Personality, style and technique
[edit]- Can you link footwork? Too lazy to check.
- Unfortunately not. --Sarastro1 (talk) 20:15, 3 December 2010 (UTC)
Notes
[edit]- How come the notes bit is broken into two columns?
- Lazy copying from another article which had it for no obvious reason... Fixed --Sarastro1 (talk) 20:15, 3 December 2010 (UTC)

- All done, I think, apart from 4 and 9. --Sarastro1 (talk) 20:15, 3 December 2010 (UTC)
