What does Humphrey Gilbert have to do with Wilton House?
[edit]Humphrey Gilbert is the "half brother" of Sir Walter Ralegh, but I can find no mention of him in association with Wilton House or the Wilton Circle. What is the source of this claim? ZoneAlarm5 (talk) 06:22, 27 November 2022 (UTC)
- Further to this, I have found that the reference should be to Adrian Gilbert (c 1541 - 1628) who was an assistant to Mary Sidney in her alchemical researches and who designed her garden on some mystical principles. Still, I can't see that he "ran" either Wilton House or the literary discussions that took place there.
- I propose we change the wording to clarify that he didn't "run" anything, and to name him properly. ZoneAlarm5 (talk) 22:09, 27 November 2022 (UTC)
