Place of birth

Most sources give his place of birth as "Kerry Cowdie "; this has been removed from the article as no trace can be found of this name in the UK. It may be a mis-hearing of Kirkcaldy, although this is a considerable distance (50 miles) from Coatbridge, where his brother Jock White was born two years later. -- Daemonic Kangaroo (talk) 05:20, 4 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
