Gay Rights
[edit]I don't know if this is worth adding to the page, but Mr Winegard supported gay rights back when such support was dangerous. Long ago when I was in Canada, I saw him strongly speak out against gay beatings and forcible outings. Walter McLean and Perrin Beatty were there and nervously agreed with him. His key line was, "Minding one's own business is a conservative value". He also invited anyone else in the audience who wanted to debate him to come forward. No one did, he spoke so eloquently that he had cowed and intimidated any opposition. 42.3.185.108 (talk) 03:41, 23 August 2023 (UTC)
