Romanization
[edit]Wikipedia policy is to romanize Chinese using pinyin except in certain exceptional cases. These include where a different romanization was part of an official name, such as the name of a bishopric. I'm not familiar with Anglican church structure in the 1800s, so I'm not sure whether "Bishop of Honan" is meant as "the Bishop in the Chinese province of Honan" or "the Bishop of the Anglican Church diocese of Honan". The former should be written "...Henan (Honan)" and the later "...Honan (Henan)". Likewise with the line about being an Anglican missionary in Fujian. Can someone with the relevant knowledge help here? SilverStar54 (talk) 17:54, 23 January 2023 (UTC)
