Not to be confused with Walt(er) McCredie
[edit]There is a Society for American Baseball Research (SABR) article that confuses the baseball player, Walt(er) McCredie with his uncle Judge William Wallace McCredie. Judge McCredie bought the Portland Beavers of the Pacific Coast League. Walt was already playing for the team and was announced as the team's player-manager. Appears that a wiki user leveraged the SABR article to create a redirect for "Judge McCredie" that directed the reader to the ballplayer instead of William Wallace McCredie who was the "Judge."
