Citation for death date?
[edit]Gannaway's death date was added in the original revision of this article, by User:Bluedog423 back in 2006. Does anyone have a source for it? -- 152.3.118.47 (talk) 21:49, 7 February 2014 (UTC)
- Good question - it was several years ago, so I don't remember the source, but I don't think I made it up! However, looking through various sources now, I see the year of death as 1910 or 1911 and not 1902, so it probably should be changed and source added. I think 1910 is correct: Findagrave "Death: Jun. 5, 1910;" Duke libraries: Guide to the William T. Gannaway papers, 1853-1906 says "[h]e died in 1911." However, Duke libraries also gives the birth date of 1826 instead of the 1825 I see everywhere else, so perhaps they're a year off on both accords. -Bluedog423Talk 13:22, 13 March 2014 (UTC)
