Improvements on their way...[edit]I have other sources of information (online) which I am going to add over the next few days. I saw mention of Stanley's memorial service in this weeks' Croydon Post, and looked him up on here, and found nothing! So, I thought I'd start an article. If anyone else has reliable information they can add, please feel free to do so! -- PhantomSteve (Contact Me, My Contribs) 02:00, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
Membership of societies[edit]I have contacted the Society of Antiquaries, to confirm that he was a fellow (the RMetS has FSA on his details, so I assume it's the Soc of Ant.). Hopefully they will confirm his membership, along with the date he became a fellow. -- PhantomSteve (Contact Me, My Contribs) 12:05, 8 September 2009 (UTC)

Images for article
[edit]I am going to see if I can find some free-use images (I'll visit the local history section of Croydon Library, which will have information about Stanley, and hopefully some suitable images). However, real-life will affect when that can be done! -- PhantomSteve (Contact Me, My Contribs) 18:02, 9 November 2009 (UTC)
- Update: I have some PD pictures, which I hope to add to the article soon! -- PhantomSteve/talk|contribs\ 12:54, 30 September 2010 (UTC)

Problems with a couple of citations...
[edit]For some reason the William F Stanley Trust website (williamfstanley.org) is not allowing access (it comes up with a 403 Forbidden error). I am hoping that this will be resolved soon (perhaps they haven't paid the hosting bill yet!), so I am keeping it as a deadlink, and will check from time to time to see if it's back online.
Likewise, the "Fellows AI" at Oxford University (reference 27 as the article currently stands) is timing out, so I have labelled it as a deadlink. Again, this may be a temporary problem (although probably not because of not paying the bill this time!), so I will check from time to time to see if it's working again. -- PhantomSteve/talk|contribs\ 09:45, 10 June 2010 (UTC)
- I have removed these references. -- PhantomSteve/talk|contribs\ 17:52, 10 June 2010 (UTC)
