Can't be understood
[edit]- ?? He was admitted a Licentiate of the Royal College of Physicians in 1817 was elected a fellow of the Royal Society.
This is ungrammatical. There should at least be an "and" in there, but from this material (and the source isn't on line*) there's no way of knowing where to put it—
- He was admitted a Licentiate of the Royal College of Physicians, and in 1817 was elected a fellow of the Royal Society.
- He was admitted a Licentiate of the Royal College of Physicians in 1817, and was elected a fellow of the Royal Society.
—and therefore which of those is correct.
* @Hohenloh: The page history says this sentence was in your original version of the page. Can you, perhaps, correct it? Please {{Ping}} me if you want to discuss it, so I won't have to watch the page. --Thnidu (talk) 03:32, 5 March 2016 (UTC)
