William S. Hart's Books
[edit]Shouldn't there be a section on Hart's books? Besides his autobiography "My Life - East and West" he wrote three Injun & Whitey novels, plus "Told Under a White Oak Tree" (by Bill Hart's Pinto Pony), "A Lighter of Flames", "Pinto Ben and Other Stories" (I think that's the right title), "The Order of Chanta Sutas", "...And All Points West!", and perhaps others.
They weren't great books, but he wrote them, and I feel they should be included as part of his life. I can put together a brief summary of his writing, if no one else wants to step forward and save me the trouble. Karenthewriter (talk) 18:33, 10 November 2012 (UTC)
Arbuckle Accusation / Frozen North
[edit]Hart's misplaced but public accusations of Fatty Arbuckle's rape and murder of a young actress and the resulting satire of Hart produced by Buster Keaton are notable enough for inclusion. Any objection? Jaydubya93 (talk) 13:05, 17 March 2014 (UTC)
I considered removing that section, for I believe it is not notable, but I will leave that for others to decide on. Karenthewriter (talk) 19:32, 29 August 2021 (UTC)
Divided Biography into 4 sections.
[edit]Most of the article was titled Biography, but I felt it would be easier to find specific information if it was divided, so I made the sections Early life, Film career, Personal life, and Death. Previously Hart's marriage and child was given one or two sentences amongst his film roles, so I deleted that, and wrote a new section about his close relationship with sister, Mary, his marriage proposal, marriage and the birth of his son. I also added a photo from John Petticoats showing Hart and his soon-to-be-wife. I combined my references to Ronald Davis' biography William S. Hart, and gave the pages I was referencing, but I left the earlier references to the book as they are. Karenthewriter (talk) 19:48, 29 August 2021 (UTC)
