Comment: As a child, I met William Morrison twice in 1961 or 1962. My aunt was friendly with his wife. He did not die in 1956, he lived long enough to see some supermarkets built! Ken Morrison became chairman? Of what? The Morrisons had two shops, one of which was in the John Street Market in Bradford, which was due to be redeveloped. The redevelopment is what triggered the move into supermarket trading. This stub is inaccurate, but I am not up to date with editing techniques for Wikipedia these days, and I am aware that personal memories are disliked on here. Dotfret (talk) 09:43, 26 June 2017 (UTC)
