Rewrite
[edit]Not sure what this looked like when assessed FA; hopefully not like it does now. Loaded with non-notable trivia, bloated and unsourced writting, etc... The original author (who wrote this under a variety of guises) is now indef-blocked, so will try to make this encyclopedic and readable without the drama.Bali ultimate (talk) 15:06, 7 February 2009 (UTC)
Proposed merge
[edit]I am proposing (for a 2nd time---first time is in the talk archives) to merge the List of articles by William Monahan into the present article. The list of works, when shorn of the extremely minor essays which don't belong here anyway, is not very long, there are only a few significant works, and it is basic content that would fit well in the present article. the present article also is not too long, once the trivial material is removed, as suggested by Bali above. The only person who really defended the existence of the separate article was a now-banned sock pupettter, and some of his many puppets. DGG (talk) 01:31, 20 February 2009 (UTC)
- I support. But at the moment the formatting of the article is screwed up.Bali ultimate (talk) 13:15, 20 February 2009 (UTC)
- Just a small note, the page is a FL, but don't let that affect any decisions. The removal criteria says that pages can be speedily delisted if a consensus elsehwere. If a decision to merge is reached, just start a quick FLRC and it should be removed reasonably quickly. -- ScorpionO'422 16:04, 17 March 2009 (UTC)
This FA's not looking too good
[edit]With the merge tag, 3 cite needed tags, and high vandalism rate this featured article's not looking very stable at the moment. Wikipedia:Featured article review might be an option. -- OlEnglish (Talk) 02:15, 31 March 2009 (UTC)
- Ok. Go for it!Bali ultimate (talk) 02:17, 31 March 2009 (UTC)
Major Rollback
[edit]Due to some private information about the now indef banned user and his edits here, I have rolled back the article to a version before he started editing. I can say that the information he added was not supported by the sources he gave or was a misrepresentation of those sources. Since this is a living person and there was intent to harm, I chose to remove the edits entirely instead of trying to verify line by line. If someone wants to look at what was in the article and independantely verify the material, you're welcome to put it back. I know its a rather drastic change - if anyone has a better solution, please let me know. Shell babelfish 05:17, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
