[edit]William Cameron McKay (scout) in Modoc War (1834-1899) Captain, U.S. Army Warm Springs Scouts. I hope to soon create an article on this man, awaiting some info from Warm Springs Res. See page revision history. I made this entry and linked to Modoc War article where W.C. McKay is mentioned. William Cameron McKay (1824-1865) Captain, U.S. Army Warm Springs Scouts. - William Cameron McKay was also a physician, surgeon, scout, guide, trader, Hudson's Bay Company etc. His father was Thomas McKay (fur trader), his grandfather was Alexander MacKay (fur trader) and his great-grandfather was Donald McKay.
