Naval Service?

Is there any first hand evidence of MacIntyre serving in the Royal Navy? He married a Mary Warren Plowman in 1820. She was the sister of Henry Plowman a Naval Surgeon who is listed in 1814 as the surgeon on HMS Ramillies with a William M'Intyre as an assistant surgeon.
