[edit]Not worthy of comment in the main article, but perhaps of interest to a passing researcher, is an auction, by Messrs. Christie Manson & Woods, on 29 May 1902, “The Property of W. Lane Claypon, Esq., of Aswardby Hall, Lincolnshire”, lots 119 and 120 totalling 4⅔ “Dozens of Port, Offley’s, 1875, bottled by E. Marshall and Co. in 1878”. (My pictures 20582/3/5-6.)
