I'm wondering why it is being assumed that Hemings and Condell were responsible for the choice of Jaggard as the publisher of the folio project. The existence of the syndicate indicates, on the contrary, that Jaggard spearheaded the project because he had access to the requisite rights in copy. Alternatively, the entry should also consider the possible role of Lord Chamberlain Pembroke in encouraging the enterprise.
Is there any evidence that Pembroke had a role in encouraging the First Folio? This seems wholly speculative. As for Jaggard's or the syndicate's role in spearheading the First Folio, here again the evidence seems lacking. Ugajin04:53, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Further to the point above, doesn't Isaac's name, along with Blount's, on the title page First Folio more or less settle the matter of which Jaggard, father or son, led the printing process?--Jbnisenson (talk) 14:16, 29 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
