According to Cook's CV (which I'm hesitant to link to as it contains personal information), he finished his term at John Hopkins and has returned to the University of Waterloo since January 2021. However, I cannot find any news releases or announcements regarding his departure or return, so I'm not sure how to update this article or provide citations. I did, however, find a news release[1] from the University of Waterloo dated August 2021 that lists Cook as a professor; perhaps it could count as a suitable source for his current place of employment.
