I believe that the sentence "William's Religious affliction was presbyterian." (top of article) should read "William's religious affiliation was Presbyterian." Herodthenut18:54, 5 June 2007 (UTC) Herodthenut[reply]
I believe that the picture in this article is of the other William Houston, who was a delegate from Georgia in the Constitutional Convention.

The article needs additional references, the bio sketch provided is very, very brief and much of the info here seems to come from another source. I removed the reference to his religion from the summary, it does not contribute to the notability of the subject of the article, he was not a member of the clergy. Also, if he was a slave owner, but opposed to slavery then that most definitely should have a specific citation to explain the contradiction and I remarked that paragraph out in the edit screen if someone wants to expand and include it. And specifics about his service as a delegate to the Continental Congress should also be referenced I think. I removed the portrait, it was of a different representative.
